Jamie Pak, M.A., NCC, EMDR
Jamie Pak is a Nationally Certified Counselor, Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia, and a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in the state of Colorado. Jamie earned her Masters of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colorado, and Bachelors of Art in Cognitive Science, concentrating in Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Virginia. Jamie completed her internship working with men, children, and women of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Jamie uses a person-centered approach along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Gestalt Therapy, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Experiential Therapy, Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to assist her clients with a wide range of issues.
Jamie is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Colorado Counseling Association (CCA), and Northern Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors (NVLPC). She presented at the Colorado Mental Health Professionals Conference in 2015, 2016, and 2017 on Multicultural Issues, and is the recipient of the 2017 CCA’s Outstanding Counselor Student of the Year award. During her spare time, Jamie enjoys practicing yoga, reading, traveling abroad, being outdoors, and spending time with loved ones.
