Ushekia McGhee

Ushekia McGhee, EdD

Ushekia is a mental health profession, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Fort Valley State University, a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University, and an Educational Degree from Argosy University in Counseling Psychology. She is experienced in adult, adolescent, and community-based settings. She also has experience in the higher education arena, teaching master’s level counseling students.

Ushekia believes that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in the growth and development of her clients.  It is within this relationship that clients can expect to be heard, supported, and encouraged to live their best life. Ushekia’s approach to therapy can be labeled as holistic (integrative), enveloping the spirit, mind, and body.   It is this platform that Ushekia invites her clients to gain control of their power in the now towards dealing with the challenges in life.
